I’ve noticed lately that a lot of people seem to be struggling with feeling burnt out in their day to day life. In a society that takes a bit of twisted pride in never calling out of work it’s frankly not surprising that people are getting to this point.

While I get that being overworked is partially a financial decision for many (and therefore largely a necessity), social media is definitely a huge contributor as well. The first thing we do when waking, and the last thing we do before sleeping, is scroll through our phones to observe others. This is creating a subconscious tally board against carefully curated highlight reels of all the things we aren’t accomplishing, even though we’re striving for something that isn’t obtainable because it’s not real.
