I’m going to let your guys in on a little secret behind the method to my blog madness: I’m not just writing for you, I’m writing for me. Yea, I want everyone who comes to my blog to find something that inspires them, is useful, or thought provoking, but that really only works if I write about stuff that is interesting or useful to myself as well. A lot of the time, we’re totally learning about a subject together, which I think is super rad (we’re totally bonding).

That said, from the end of 2016 through till now, I’ve found myself really struggling with being productive. I don’t know about you, but I expected the new me (that I became January 1st, obv) to just kinda get with it. To help us both switch gears with this fresh year, I decided to put together a list of tips to help us stay on track. Here’s some things that are tried-and-true for me, and some new tips that I hope are helpful for you:

1. LIST IT OUT

It’s way easier to figure out how to manage everything you need to get done if you have it all laid out in front of you! Even having the most basic outline of the tasks you’re setting out to accomplish is better than nothing at all, and just the act of writing it out will help you to feel a sense of mental order so you can start on your way. Plus, writing everything out helps you to pick actual tangible goals, which makes the list more effective, and can help you remember everything you want to do. View Post
