I’ve been working hard at working hard this past month, but I’ve definitely noticed it seems rougher than usual (for some of my friends in particular) to press forward, despite that “new year, fresh start” vibes we’re all riding high on. Whether it’s the unpredictable temperatures, or just an overall January characteristic to kind of drag, I’m not into it. The last week or so, I’ve found myself really reaching for those strong mantras to build myself up mentally, and I figured it couldn’t hurt to do a round-up of my current faves to help y’all out too.
You may have seen a few of these on my instagram stories if you follow me, but they still hold solid, so here they are! This first quote in particular is probably what I’m going to try to embody for the entirety of 2018, because it just feels so strong. Let me know in the comments below if any of these resonated with you!! View Post

How’s 2018 been treating y’all thus far?? I know we’re only two weeks in, but that’s plenty of time to lay the foundation and start making moves so this is your best year yet. I’ve been slowly addressing each goal that I set for myself this Winter, and I’m really stoked on my progress. Not only have I been sticking to my workouts as planned, I somehow convinced my boyfriend to join me for yoga. Kind of hoping he falls in love with it and I’ll have an exercise partner in the future! That said, does anyone else find it easier to tackle things when their goals are quarterly??
I have the absolute worst attention span (or maybe I just can’t break away from my phone??), but something else I want to focus on this year is reading more. Since it’s currently cold as hell in Philadelphia (why do I live somewhere that the air. hurts. my. face), I figure now is as good a time as ever to bundle up and try checking out a few novels! To take you along with me, I’ve put together a rad list of 20 books we can check out in the following genres: fiction, non-fiction, romance, suspense, and personal-development. I’m huge on books to improve yourself (I’m currently chipping away at Originals), so it was important to include a bunch of those!
If you think there’s something I should’ve included on this list, please let me know below!! I’m always down for suggestions that have caught your eye.
Hey babes! I’ve seen a lot of people really struggling to find their voice and just write lately (myself included) so I decided to put together my favorite tips on how I deal with “writer’s block”. I actually employed almost every method I’ve shared here while writing out this post, so I can say with certainty that they work!
These tips are directed toward writing blog posts, but I think they can really apply in almost any situation that you find yourself needing to write. Obviously, I’m just biased about what I’m working on.
Since we’re coming up on “bikini weather” real fast, I figured I’d put together an inspiration post with a few of my favorite healthy instagram feeds, to help y’all to be your best you, both inside and out! These ladies have been a pleasure to follow along with, because not only do they live a physically healthy lifestyle, I’ve found that they really work on embodying a healthier mentality as well. When someone can really be that whole package, I find that they seem to just glow as a person, and push others around them to shine as well.
So, check out these chicas, give ’em a follow, and share your current faves with me below!
This rad mama not only shares some of the tastiest looking food, but has such real personality that you can’t help but wanna follow her. Seriously, go watch Jeanette’s instagram stories right now; I dare ya to not wanna be her friend, or wanna have your little play with her’s. Whenever I find myself looking for ideas for healthy food with something a little extra, I scroll on through her insta. View Post
Sorry for my posts being a little slow around here lately! I know I shared a post with tips for dealing with the blues, but I’ve definitely been struggling still (like everyone around me it seems?!), and I’ve found that the only way for me to truly work through the rough stuff is to take a breather. It’s definitely easier to move forward after sitting and getting to know your emotions, ya know? That way you’re working with yourself, instead of struggling against the tide.
At any rate, to get myself and you outta this funk, I wanted to share a post with 5 things I’m loving lately!
